What is scanix Fixed QR Attendance?
scanix Fixed QR is a card-based attendance mode that uses QR code technology without requiring every student to own a smartphone or use an app themselves. Each student is issued a printed ID card carrying their own unique, permanent QR code — similar in spirit to an RFID or Barcode card, except the identifier is a QR code instead of a radio chip or 1D barcode.
Instead of students scanning a code (as in Dynamic QR Mode), the Teacher carries the scanix mobile app on their own phone and scans each student's QR card, one by one, at the start of class. There is no projector, no student login, and no dependency on students carrying phones — making it ideal for schools that want the low hardware cost of QR technology but the simplicity and control of a card-based, teacher-driven process.
Because the QR code on the card never changes, and the scan is a direct camera read rather than a network-verified, time-boxed code, the response is brilliantly fast — under a second per card. A teacher can comfortably scan an entire class of 40–50 students within a couple of minutes.

How It Works
scanix Fixed QR Attendance combines the low cost of QR technology with the speed and control of a teacher-driven, card-based scan.
Step I: Institute Prints QR ID Cards for Every Student
The school imports its student list into scanix in Excel format. scanix generates a unique, permanent QR code for each student, which is printed on their ID card.
Step II: Teacher Logs into the scanix Mobile App
The teacher installs the scanix app on their own phone and logs in with their staff credentials — no separate scanner hardware is required.
Step III: Teacher Scans Each Card, One by One
At the start of class, the teacher opens the scan screen and scans every student's QR card in turn. Each scan is recognised and logged in under a second.
Step IV: Admin Views Reports in Realtime
As soon as a card is scanned, the report is immediately available inside the Admin panel & the Admin can see/download it as per their convenience.
